Holly and Ivy.....fini
Dec. 22nd, 2009 08:35 pmI finished last night, ahead of schedule. Very quick and easy, just what I needed.
( Bring out the holly )
I was going to work on my corset tonight, but my whole right arm, from fingers to shoulder hurts from my minor fall down the stairs last night. I'm typing this one handed.

Stripes and holly part duex....
Dec. 20th, 2009 10:01 pmThe sleeves are in. No fuss, no muss, and the stripes look fairly good.

Stripes and holly
Dec. 20th, 2009 12:33 pmDespite not feeling the greatest last night, I made a little progress on E's annual Christmas p.j.'s
( Bring out the holly )
Now we're off the see Santa! (at 8, E is still a believer, which makes me happy!)
Actual Sewing Content
Dec. 18th, 2009 09:58 pmAdmittedly, it's not much, but it is here.
The annual x-mas jammies are all cut out and marked! How's that for progress? This is a pattern that I've used several times in the past, so I'm hoping they go together smoothly. I really don't have the time or the inclination for unpicking seams. The only thing that got me on the cutting out was the stripes. Hopefully, I've managed to match them o.k. Guess we'll see tomorrow.

A couple of things.....
Dec. 18th, 2009 06:19 pm1.) Must get started on E's Christmas p.j.s. Only 4 nights of available sewing time before Christmas Eve. How'd I put this off so long?
2.) The results for YWUL Double Period Project are up! And the winning years are the ones I voted for! French Revolution- 1770-1789 and Natural Form- 1876-1882. I've been eying this supremely gorgeous blouse and bodice from Fashions of the Guilded age ever since I got the book. This could just be the impetus I need to get it made. *crosses fingers*
Oh yes, I am now officialy on x-mas break! 2 weeks of not having to wake up at 5:30am! Whatever am I going to do with myself?
