Was I thinking?
Halloween is 3 days away, that means I have 2 sewing days left. The Queen of Procrastination over here, waited 'till Monday to get a start on E's costume, only to find that the bodice has 12 pieces, not counting the sleeves. Of course, 11 of those pieces need lining and interfacing! So, that makes 33 that needed cutting, Yipes! Add in the sleeves and you get 37!
After all the cutting and interfacing, I went to put the front together. Let me just say, this is a really weird pattern. I can't for the life of me see how things are going to come together. And it doesn't help that the markings don't seem to match up!
This is the front underlay and the two front pieces. The Notches don't match! See?
No matchy. The top notch belongs to the underlay, the bottom to the front.
Here's how it looks put together.
Real exciting I know. I need to add some kind of trim to the front. I may just do grommets.
I have the side fronts, and side front linings put together also. I need to get the backs done, and then decipher the directions on how they want it all stitched together. Then of course, I need to get the sleeves on and pants sewn. Luckily, the pants are easy!
