Slow and steady
Well, I didn't finish the shift last night. I can't run the machine until E is sleeping, otherwise it keeps her awake. However, this does not mean that I did nothing.
I decided on simple initials for my reticule. I chose this silvery/white for the embroidery, thinking it will match most anything in the future.

All that's left to do is sew it together. I might work on that this afternoon, as I can do it by hand.
As for the shift, the seams have all been felled, and the bias is pinned around the neckline waiting to be sewn down. Then it's just the hems!
Lastly, here is the A.D. with the lower sleeves on. I just basted them, so they would be easy to remove should I need to.

See, monkey arms! Of course when i put it on, it's got that nice scrunchy look.
So, on the agenda tonight:
Finish shift (at least the machine part)
Plain petti for E (this will just be two widths of fabric with a hem and waistband)
