anielmomwith the Sense and Sensibility pattern, I've decided to try draping my own. I'm using the 1806-09 from PoF as inspiration. I like the concept of the bands at the neckline and "waist"
Here's the initial lay out of the lines. I have to make the bands wider that the original in order to cover the straps on the stays.
Beginning to drape....
The initial drape, pinned together, and trying on for fit.
I've left the front hanging loose, as it will be widened to add gathers and a draw string.
Next installment: The dreaded sleeve! (insert Psycho! shower scene music here)
