It Starts....
Remember that green dress I posted about a while back? Well, I have finally started the draping. I've only been in class for a little over a month, and have only draped a basic 2 dart bodice block, but I decided I could wait no longer to get started and so am winging it some what.
The bodice front. The funny busines around the arm hole is do to the arm stumps on Gem.
Not the best pic of the back. Again the funny arm wrinkling.
The bodice pin fitted for trying on. I found that Gem is about and inch larger than I am. I'm going to go ahead with a toil and figure out what adjustments I need to make.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with this first attempt. There will most likely be many more mock ups to come.
P.S. Ignore the toy and sewing junk in the back ground. was working downstairs today as that's where I left everything after class last night.
