Ummm....

Was bad and picked up a book, which turned into two, which stalled progress on the paletot.  So.  I've set myself a deadline of Valentine's day to get it done.

Still to do:

Sew down hem facing
Hem lining
Make new sleeve (the original is looking a bit more like a leg 'o mutton than I'd like)
Make and attach bias trim.
Make belt
Tack back pleats down

front

side.  I want to tack the bottom of the pleats down to give it a more fitted look.

Lining back.  I'd forgotten that I needed to make a separate pattern for the lining back, otherwise I'd wind up with even more bulk.  At least that was an easy one.  I just measured how wide my back is, checked that against the unpleated paletot pattern, and cut a big square from the c.b. to the waist where I pleated the bottom.  I get all the swish of the pleats at the bottom and none of the bulk at the top.

front neckline.  There is no illustration of the front, so I've had to use my imagination in concert with what I can tell from the pattern shape.  I know that the front crosses over, and that the only closure is the belt.  So I decided having a turned down lapel would suite, and that I wanted it to be pink.
