I broke my self imposed ban on buying more patterns. It's not like I'm not perfectly capable of making my own.   What can I say?  I'm a sucker for a sale.  I did only buy 3 however.
So, here they are:

couldn't help myself on this one.  It's so girlie and sweet.  Not sure I'll ever make it, but.....

As the next era I plan to tackle is Victorian, I thought I'd give view c a shot.  It'll be my practice one, before I attempt with the Truly Victorian pattern, or try to draft my own.

And for the man in my life.  The pattern pieces look pretty good shape wise, so perhaps I'll give this one a try.

they didn't have any cute girls costumes that I don't already have.  But the Simplicity sale is coming up soon.  E wants to be a pirate.  As I flat out refuse to sew a generic pirate, I'm thinking something vaguely 19thc with a cincher (that doesn't actually cinch of course).  We'll see.

Grrrr

Why is it, that whenever I feel like sewing, (and this is the first time in months that the urge has struck) the man decides to go to bed early?  Makes me want to pull my hair in frustration!
So, I settled for a little, a very little pattern work.  I finally got around to adding those side back seams to E's fair frock pattern.  I plan on cutting out the bodice tomorrow night (if D co-operates).
I also traced out the pieces I need to start on the Victorian corset.  I think I have everything I need to make the first draft.  I have decided to forgo a busk on this one (I'm making it on the cheap, gotta be able to afford that $4.50/gall gas after all).  Now I just need to decide whether I'll make it a front or back opening.
