Despite appearances to the contrary, I have been sewing and even made progress on E's W&D dress!
So, this is the dress I decided on.

E had her heart set on pink, as I had enough fabric left over from the faire frock, I decided to oblige her. I also had some white cotton eyelet lace to use for the trimming.
Here are the supplies:

After finishing muslin #3 on Friday(?) I set to work cutting. I sewed the bodice and sleeves Sunday night and was feeling pretty good about myself! I hadn't had to make use of the seam ripper once!
Now, we all know what happens when we get cocky and shun the ripper....
Of course when I picked up the skirt on Monday, I managed to get the bodice folded into the seam 3X's in the same place! Aaaargh! Humbled, I pressed on. And here is the result.

I think I shall dub this one the Bubble Gum dress. I don't have enough lace to do more than the 2 rows at the hem, so it shall stay like this.
Still to go:
Hand stitch lace ot sleeves.
Hem said sleeves.
Stitch down binding at neck line. (yeah, I got lazy and didn't want to do a lining, or a facing)
Add closures.
Finnish ruffly petti.
Work out a collar (time permitting)
Cost so far: Nadda, zilch zip, zero. And I plan to keep it that way!
As for the Archery gown, It's in wearable condition. I still need to get the trim on to the lower sleeve, and I'd like to futz with the closures a bit more, but nothing that won't keep if I run out of time before next Saturday.
