anielmom*Mad cackle* I have finished the boning channels! *more mad cackling* Now to cut the bones, make the eyelets (why yes, I am a glutton for punishment!), bind and trim! So good to finally be done with the never ending channels!
As for E. I've decided to scrap plans for the 1874 Polonaise. There are just too many fiddilly bits, and I'm not in the mood to fiddle.
Inspired by this fashion plate from the University of Washington Libraries.
I dug through FOTGA and came up with this:
You're going to have to use your imagination here. Picture it without all the ruffles, the draping of the skirt, and with a shorter, fuller underskirt. The pattern is pretty simple, especially by Victorian standards, and looks like it should go together pretty smoothly. (Famous last words. Knocking on wood over here.) I'll probably shorten the sleeve a bit too, make it about 3/4 length. I'm thinking the main fabric will be pink, and the bands black. If I can find a pink stripe, that would be even better.
Not sure about the underskirt. Black? White? Or something else entirely? Suggestions/thoughts?
