After an exhaustive search of the internets, and fabric stores, I have found the main fabric for the Archery gown! The search started in Jan., when I first decided to make the gown and ended yesterday at 4:45pm at Stone Mountain Daughter .
We started our day by crossing the bridge and heading down to the Hiller Aviation Museum . We go there regularly so E can work on her fear of airplane seats. She had a good time. She even sat in the cockpit and pretended she was the pilot, a very big step for her! Then we got some lunch and let E play at a park.
After she was good and dirty, we were off to the fabric store. One bridge and an hour later we finally made it. As we only had enough change to put 30 min. on the meter, it was to be the worlds quickest trip. I had no luck finding anything of a suitable shade or weight, and was becoming very discouraged. Then D said he found something. I didn't take him to seriously at first, he knows nothing about fabric. So just to humor him, I went to see what he had.
To my surprise, It was the perfect shade of green!

With flash. Without flash. ( The color is not reading true on the monitor, but it is somewhere in between the two)
It is a lovely cotton velveteen, I could not find wool in a suitable color. I think it will work very nicely. The next project is to find the salmon fabric for the trim. Hopefully, that will be easier.
